FAQs

Who are you working with?

I’m currently seeing clients in PA & SD through Open Fields Counseling. Due to previous contractual obligations, I may be limited in my ability to work with certain former clients at this time. If you’re wondering whether we can reconnect, feel free to reach out through my website—I’m always happy to talk through what’s possible.

I am grateful that my work has enabled me to sit with folks from all sorts of backgrounds, beliefs, and identities. I am also grateful to have the chance to specialize in working with people who come from rural places. Please visit this link to learn more about rural services. I understand deeply small town life, agriculture, and what it means to rely on the land for one’s livelihood.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am in-network with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield (Pennsylvania) and Aetna. If you are covered under a different provider, I can provide you with a superbill, which is a type of receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients find this helpful and are able to get partial reimbursement depending on their plan.

If you do not have insurance, I keep things simple with an easy, secure credit card system. You’ll enter your info once, and sessions are billed automatically.

Do you offer sliding scale spots?
Yes, I do have a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Please reach out if cost is a barrier—I deeply value making therapy as accessible as possible.

What is IFS?
IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a beautiful, empowering model that helps us understand the different “parts” within us—those protective voices, wounded places, and core Self that can guide healing. It’s compassionate, non-pathologizing, and one of my favorite approaches.

What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps people heal from trauma and distressing experiences by working with the brain’s natural processing system. It’s structured, evidence-based, and incredibly effective for many. I love how it offers a clear path forward without needing to relive every painful memory.

Is remote therapy effective?
Yes, absolutely. Many clients find that telehealth is just as powerful—sometimes even more comfortable than in-person therapy. You can show up from the quiet of your home, skip the commute, and still experience deep, meaningful work. I create the same safe, grounded space virtually as I do in person.
